Transmitter Programming (Scan 100)

2005 Suzuki Swift +SECTION Transmitter Programming (Scan 100)

The remote keyless entry system allows for the use of as many a five transmitters for each vehicle. Replacement remote keyless entry system transmitters must be first programmed to the specific vehicle using the scan tool.

This process is completed using serial data communication between the scan tool and the remote keyless entry control unit and is the only method available for programming transmitters.

IMPORTANT: All transmitters that are to be recognized by the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. Up to five transmitters can be programmed. Do no operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle.
