When The Driver's Switch Is Operated, The Driver's Side Power Window Does Not Work In Automatic Operation
Trouble causes:
- Front regulator and motor assembly (driver's side) failure
- Power window main switch failure
- LIN communication error
- Body integrated unit malfunction
- Harness malfunction
- Poor contact of connector
- Power supply circuit malfunction
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- CHECK MALFUNCTIONS

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Operate the power window main switch and check that the power window (driver's side) works in manual operation.
Does the power window operate manually according to switch operation?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Perform the diagnosis for "When the driver's switch is operated, the driver's side power window does not work in manual operation". Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>INSPECTION>WHEN THE DRIVER'S SWITCH IS OPERATED, THE DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW DOES NOT WORK IN MANUAL OPERATION .
- CHECK DTC

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTCs of [Power Window (Switch)] and [Power Window (Driver)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
- Power Window (Switch)
- Power Window (Driver)
Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .
No: Go to 3.
- CHECK [ECU Control Mode] (DATA MONITOR)

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Window (Driver)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- ECU Control Mode
Is [Initialized] displayed?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform [System Initialization] of [Power Window (Driver)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .
Then, perform the initial setting of the power window. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOW/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW SYSTEM>OPERATION .
- CHECK [One's Seat Switch] (DATA MONITOR)

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Window (Driver)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- One's Seat Switch
Does the display change corresponding to the switch operation?
Yes: Replace the front regulator and motor assembly (driver's side). Ref. to GLASS/WINDOW/MIRRORS>FRONT REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY .
No: Replace the power window main switch. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOW/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH .
