2022 Subaru Forester BaseFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

RH Side

Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Remove the collector cover. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
Remove the clip from the air intake boot, and loosen the clamp.

Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

Remove the intake manifold assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
Remove the bolt (A) securing the engine wiring harness.
Remove the clip (B) securing the engine wiring harness.
Disconnect the connector (C) and remove the clip (D).
Remove the clip (E) from the harness case.
Remove the knock sensor together with the coupling harness, and disconnect the coupling harness.
