2020 Subaru Outback BaseFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

How To Reset The Full Open Stop Position

When the full open stop position becomes misaligned, it can be reset by performing the following procedure.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  2. Operate and hold the switch - power window in "AUTO DOWN" direction (fully push down the switch) for three seconds or more.
NOTE: For the driver's side window, this operation can be done from the switch - power window main, and for the passenger's and the rear seat side window, this can be done from either the switch - power window main or the switch - power window on the passenger's side or the rear seat side.
  3. Check that the glass starts rolling down and fully opens.
  4. Operate the switch - power window in "AUTO UP" direction to check whether the window fully closes properly.
