VDC Control Module And Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM And H/U): Installation
- When installing the hydraulic unit assembly VDC to the bracket COMPL hydraulic unit VDC, make sure that there is no oil adhered to the bolts and the threads of hydraulic unit assembly VDC. If the oil is adhered, degrease it carefully before tightening.
- Connect the hydraulic unit assembly VDC connector securely.
- Install the bracket COMPL hydraulic unit VDC and the hydraulic unit assembly VDC.
- Attach the bracket COMPL hydraulic unit VDC.
Tightening torque:Β
33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 23.8 ft-lb)
- Install the bracket hydraulic unit adapter to the hydraulic unit assembly VDC.
Tightening torque:Β

For the tightening torque, refer to BRAKE>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>FRONT BRAKE PIPES AND HOSES .
- Attach the bracket COMPL hydraulic unit VDC.
- Install the air intake boot. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Bleed air from the brake system, Refer to BRAKE>AIR BLEEDING>PROCEDURE .
- Perform parameter confirmation, selection, and registration.NOTE:
- When the hydraulic unit assembly VDC is replaced with a new part, be sure to perform the parameter selection β’ registration operation.
- When the registration has not been performed, the DTC code [Parameter selection error] is detected together with the ABS/EBD/VDC warning light illumination.
- Check that the applied model and grade of the relevant vehicle are included. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDCCM PARAMETER CHECKΒ .
- If the applied model and grade of the target vehicle are not included, perform parameter selection and registration. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDCCM PARAMETER CHECKΒ .
- Perform "VDC sensor midpoint setting mode". Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U)>ADJUSTMENT>VDC SENSOR MIDPOINT SETTING MODEΒ .
