Select Lever: Removal

2002 Subaru Forester BaseSECTION Removal

Set vehicle on a lift.
Disconnect ground cable from battery.
Move the select lever to the "N" position.
Remove heat shield cover.

Disconnect cable from select lever and then remove cable bracket.

Remove the console box. Refer to REMOVAL under CONSOLE BOX .
Disconnect the connectors, then remove the bolts to take out the select lever assembly from the body.
