Steering Wheel: Installation

2002 Subaru Forester BaseSECTION Installation
  1. Align center of roll connector. Refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
  2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE: Align matching marks on steering wheel and steering column.
    1. Tightening torque:Β  44 N.m (4.5 kgf-m, 32.5 ft-lb)
    2. Column cover-to-steering wheel clearance:Β  2 - 4 mm (0.08 - 0.16 in)
    WARNING: Always refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS before performing airbag module service.
