Turn ignition off. Disconnect Green electrical harness connector from fuel pump relay. Fuel pump relay is located under left side of instrument panel, to right of fuse block. See Fig 1 . Start and run engine until it stalls. After engine stalls, crank engine for 5 seconds. Turn ignition off. Reconnect fuel pump relay connector.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
