2002 Subaru Forester BaseSECTION Throttle Cable

Check throttle cable free play by operating accelerator pedal by hand. If pedal free play is not .04-.16" (1-4 mm) for 2.0L, 2.5L and 3.0L or pedal stroke is not 2.05-2.24" (52-55 mm) for 2.0L and 2.5L or 1.97-2.17" (50-55 mm) for 3.0L, adjust to specification by turning nut connecting throttle cable to throttle body. See Fig 1 .
