Engine Control System (2AZ-FE): ECM: Removal

2007 Scion tC Base, AutomaticSECTION Removal
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
    2. Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.

    3. Remove the bolt, screw and ECM.

    4. Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 ECM bracket.

    5. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 ECM bracket.
