Engine Control System (2AZ-FE): ECM: Installation

2007 Scion tC Base, AutomaticSECTION Installation
  1. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (30 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)

    2. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (30 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)

    3. Install the ECM with the bolt and screw.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (50 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) for bolt 

      3.0 N*m (30 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) for screw

    4. Connect the 5 ECM connectors.
    5. Install the wire harness clamp.

  2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
