Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

2007 Scion tC Base, AutomaticSECTION Removal
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
    2. Remove the connector clamp.
    3. Remove the wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket.
    4. Remove the wire harness clamp.
    5. Remove the bolt and sensor.
