Warning Messages

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Driver's Information Center (DIC) displays warning messages for tire pressure monitoring system. When message is first displayed, 2 chimes will be heard. To acknowledge the message, press the RESET button. This will let the vehicle know that the message has been noted. The message and a chime will be heard every 10 minutes until the condition is corrected. These messages are as follow:

  • LOW TIRE PRESSURE

If more than one tire is low, message will be displayed for each tire. Stop vehicle as soon as safe and check tire pressure. If this is a reoccurring problem, check for Technical Service Bulletins (TSB).
  • FLAT TIRE

Indicates tire pressure in one or more tires is less than 5 psi (34 kPa). Next to FLAT TIRE message, appropriate tire that is flat will appear (i.e., LF). After FLAT TIRE message appears, MAX SPEED 55 MPH (90 km/h) will be displayed. Do not exceed this speed. Next message to appear is REDUCED HANDLING. If more than one tire is flat, message will be displayed for each tire. Stop vehicle as soon as safe and check tire pressure.
  • HIGH TIRE PRESSURE - (LF, LR, RF, RR)
