Front Suspension: Description

2000 Saturn SL2 Automatic, MP6SECTION Description

Front suspension uses struts to provide spring support and shock absorption. See Fig 1 . Spring can be removed from strut, but strut is not serviceable. Strut must be replaced if worn or damaged. Top of strut is attached to vehicle body. Bottom of strut is attached to steering knuckle. Steering knuckle is attached to control arm by a ball joint. Tension strut (stabilizer bar) between cradle and control arm provides stability.
