2000 Saturn SL2 Automatic, MP6SECTION Removal & Installation
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove air cleaner housing cover and air induction hose at throttle body. Remove PCM mounting bolts, harness connector and remove PCM from carrier. PCM is located near left front strut tower.
  2. Clean ABS control module external surfaces with brake cleaner. Disconnect harness connector from module. Remove ABS control module-to-BPMV mounting screws. Pull module straight out of valve assembly.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure pins are properly aligned between module and BPMV. Ensure gasket is not damaged. Use Loctite 5900(tm) to repair damaged gasket areas. Replace control module if gasket damage is 5/8" or larger. Tighten all mounting screws to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  table.
