2000 Saturn SLFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE
Intermediate Shaft: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain transaxle fluid. Remove right axle shaft. See AXLE SHAFTS . Using Axle Seal Puller (SA9133T), remove axle seal from intermediate shaft housing and discard. On DOHC engine models, loosen upper bolt securing intermediate axle shaft bracket to intake manifold bracket. Remove lower bolt securing intermediate axle shaft bracket to intake manifold bracket and swing bracket toward starter.
- On all models, remove intermediate shaft bracket-to-engine block bolts. Remove intermediate shaft from vehicle.
