Body Control Module Replacement
2000 Saturn LW2 V6-3.0L VIN RSECTION Body Control Module Replacement
REMOVAL

1. Open glove compartment door.
2. Remove glove compartment lamp assembly by pulling on lamp plunger.
3. Disconnect glove compartment lamp wiring harness from glove compartment lamp.

4. Remove R/S I/P lower closeout panel (hush panel) retainers.
5. Pull closeout panel (hush panel) rearward to detach from forward retainers.

6. Remove R/S heater outlet assembly retainer and remove outlet.

7. Remove glove compartment door.

8. Remove glove compartment bin fasteners.

9. Slowly remove glove compartment bin tilting bin downward to expose BCM residing on top of glove box.
10. Remove BCM module from glove compartment by sliding module out of attaching slots.
11. Remove BCM harness connectors.
INSTALLATION

1. Install glove compartment bin partially into opening.
2. Secure BCM to glove compartment bin slots.

3. Install ECM harness connectors.
4. Route glove box lamp wiring harness through lamp opening and connect glove compartment lamp wiring harness to glove compartment lamp.
5. Snap lamp into glove compartment bin.

6. Install glove compartment bin to I/P with fasteners.
Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)

7. Install heater outlet with retainer to glove compartment bin.

8. Install RIS lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel) with retainers.
9. Function glove compartment lamp and glove compartment door to ensure proper operation.

10. Install glove compartment door with fasteners.
Torque: 2 N.m (18 in-lbs)
1. Open glove compartment door.
2. Remove glove compartment lamp assembly by pulling on lamp plunger.
3. Disconnect glove compartment lamp wiring harness from glove compartment lamp.
4. Remove R/S I/P lower closeout panel (hush panel) retainers.
5. Pull closeout panel (hush panel) rearward to detach from forward retainers.
6. Remove R/S heater outlet assembly retainer and remove outlet.
7. Remove glove compartment door.
8. Remove glove compartment bin fasteners.
9. Slowly remove glove compartment bin tilting bin downward to expose BCM residing on top of glove box.
10. Remove BCM module from glove compartment by sliding module out of attaching slots.
11. Remove BCM harness connectors.
INSTALLATION
1. Install glove compartment bin partially into opening.
2. Secure BCM to glove compartment bin slots.
3. Install ECM harness connectors.
4. Route glove box lamp wiring harness through lamp opening and connect glove compartment lamp wiring harness to glove compartment lamp.
5. Snap lamp into glove compartment bin.
6. Install glove compartment bin to I/P with fasteners.
Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)
7. Install heater outlet with retainer to glove compartment bin.
8. Install RIS lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel) with retainers.
9. Function glove compartment lamp and glove compartment door to ensure proper operation.
10. Install glove compartment door with fasteners.
Torque: 2 N.m (18 in-lbs)
