2000 Saturn LW2 AutomaticSECTION Circuit Description

Throttle valve is controlled by a motor that is commanded by the ECM. If output driver to ECM (internal) gets hot and shuts off for thermal protection, or is internally shorted to ground, DTC will set. Error flag will set when this condition is present for a specified time. If an error flag is set, fuel cut-off will occur for 0.6 second and system will enter limp-home mode 15 seconds later.

  • Commanded and actual throttle position is not in agreement.
  • Condition exists for greater than 0.5 second.
