Class-2 Serial Data
Class-2 serial data link is used by Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) and Body Control Module (BCM). On vehicles equipped with 4-cylinder engine, class-2 serial data link is also used by Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Class-2 serial data link is used for normal vehicle operation by transferring input signal information between modules.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
