Section 3 (Power Window System): Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Chevrolet Corvette and 1999 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Power window system uses a permanent-magnet motor to operate each window. Motor operation is controlled by Left Door Control Module (LDCM) or Right Door Control Module (RDCM). Window is raised or lowered depending on polarity of current applied to window motor. When right window is raised or lowered from master switch assembly, LDCM communicated with RDCM over bus wiring.
