2000 Saturn LS2 AutomaticFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE
"S" Series (Front & Rear)
NOTE:
Rear wheel alignment must be set correctly before front wheel alignment is attempted.
- When adjusting front camber, lock steering wheel in straight-ahead position. When adjusting front or rear camber, loosen 2 strut-to-knuckle nuts. Push or pull top of wheel assembly in direction of desired change. This will allow up to 1.5 degrees adjustment. If greater than 1.5 degrees adjustment is needed, go to next step.
- Ensure there are no bent or damaged suspension components. Repair or replace as necessary. If suspension components are okay, raise vehicle on hoist. Remove wheels. Remove 2 strut-to-knuckle bolts. Separate knuckle from strut bracket.
- Elongate strut bracket lower hole. To increase negative camber, elongate the outside of lower strut hole. To decrease negative camber, elongate the inside of lower strut hole. See Fig 1 . Paint exposed metal with primer or anti-rust paint. Reinstall strut-to-steering knuckle bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ table.
- Reinstall wheels. Tighten wheel lug nuts in crisscross pattern to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ . Lower vehicle from hoist and check camber. Adjust if necessary.
