2000 Saturn LS1 L4-2.2L VIN FSECTION General Description
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is behind the passenger side airbag. It is mounted to underside of cowl and is supported on bottom side with a PCM lower bracket. The connectors can be reached by removing boot under windshield wiper tray.

The PCM uses signals from various sensors in order to optimize control of engine, transaxle, and various accessories. The PCM is a microprocessor based computer that is main component of powertrain control system.

The PCM controls the following systems.
