Content Theft Deterrent Programming

NOTE: Other options may be programmed using scan tool. See scan tool users guide for information.

There are 3 modes for content theft deterrent activation/deactivation. They are as follows:

  • Active

    Content theft will only be armed by using transmitter to lock doors.
  • Passive

    Content theft system will arm 5 minutes after ignition is off, all doors and trunk are closed. Any door opened will reset 5 minute timer.
  • Disabled

    Content theft system will not activate.

To enter programming mode, press PANIC button on transmitter 8-10 times in 5 seconds with ignition on. Within 3 seconds select mode by pressing appropriate button on transmitter. See MODE SELECTIONΒ  table. BCM will chime once when programming is complete.

When to See a Mechanic
