Fuel Pressure Relief
1997 Saturn SC1 AutomaticSECTION Fuel Pressure Relief
Fuel pressure may be relieved by using one of following methods:
- Disconnect fuel pump connector. Start and run engine until it stalls. Crank starter for 3 seconds to remove remaining fuel from fuel lines. Reconnect fuel pump connector.
- Install Fuel Pressure Gauge (SA9127E) and 90-Degree Adapter (SA9403E) to fuel pressure test port. When installing fuel pressure gauge, wrap shop towel around pressure connection to absorb fuel leakage. Install gauge bleed hose in container. Open bleed valve to bleed fuel pressure.NOTE: Ensure battery is fully charged when performing test.
