1992 Saturn SL2 AutomaticFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE
Converter Clutch Actuator
- Disconnect transaxle harness connector. Measure resistance across actuator terminals "E" and "K". Resistance should be 3-4 ohms. See Figure . If resistance is not as specified, go to next step.
- Remove actuator connector plate. Check resistance across actuator terminals. Resistance should be 3-4 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace actuator. If resistance was okay, replace actuator connector plate.
NOTE:
Some solenoids have an internal pressure switch in series with the solenoid winding and will not show continuity until that pressure switch is applied by transmission hydraulic pressure. See Figure
.
