Code 19: 6X Signal Fault: Notes

1992 Saturn SL1 AutomaticSECTION Notes

6X output signal is a 5-volt square wave that is initially high. Signal switches low at each of six 60-degree crankshaft position sensor pulses. 6X signal is used by PCM for greater resolution when determining ESC retard values. Code 19 will set if three 6X pulses do not occur between each reference pulse or a 6X pulse does not immediately follow a reference pulse.
