Description & Operation: Operation
The front wiper system should activate immediately whenever the switch is turned on. In the INTERMITTENT 1 position, the wipers should cycle every 2 seconds. In INTERMITTENT 2 position, the cycle should be every 7 seconds, and in INTERMITTENT 3 position, the cycle should be every 12 seconds. In LOW speed, the wipers should cycle about 47 times per minute. In HIGH speed, the wipers should cycle about 67 cycles per minute on a wet windshield.
When the switch is pushed down to the MIST position, the wipers should cycle as long as the switch is held down. When the switch is pulled to the WASH position, the wipers and washer pump should activate within one second. The wipers should cycle 2 times and the washer pump should remain on as long as the switch is activated. When the switch is released, the wipers should park after 2 cycles.
The liftgate wiper functions are OFF, ON and WASH and operate with the ignition switch in the RUN or ACC position.
