Preliminary Procedure 
  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT .
  2. Remove the lever linkage. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION RANGE SELECTOR LEVER REPLACEMENT .
  3. Disconnect the TCM electrical connector.
1 Transmission Control Module Fastener (Qty: 3)
Refer to FASTENER CAUTION .
Tighten 
25 Nm (18 lb ft)
2 Transmission Control Module
Procedure 
  1. Set the inner, rotating section of the control module so that the arrow is pointing towards the marking on the housing.
  2. Carry out service programming system (SPS). Refer to SERVICE PROGRAMMING SYSTEM (SPS) .
  3. Carry out adaptation, resetting. Refer to TRANSMISSION ADAPTIVE FUNCTIONS .
  4. Program the gear selector position sensor in neutral, using the scan tool.
    NOTE: Twisting or tilting of the transmission control module electrical connector while disconnecting may result in bent or misaligned electrical terminal pins.
