Pressure Transducer

1990 Saab 900 Base, 2D Convertible, StandardSECTION Pressure Transducer
  1. Remove panel underneath dashboard (driver side). Unplug electrical connector from pressure transducer. Connect vacuum pump and pressure gauge to pressure transducer hose.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between Black/White and Green/Red wires of pressure transducer connector. Measure resistance. Resistance should be 8-13 ohms at atmospheric pressure.
  3. Increase pressure to approximately 14.5 psi (10.2 kg/cm2 ) and then let it drop to 8.7 psi (6.1 kg/cm2 ), while tapping lightly on pressure transducer bracket. Resistance should be 83-93 ohms at 8.7 psi (.61 kg/cm2 ). If readings are not as specified, replace pressure transducer.
