PCV System: Operation

1986 Saab 9000 StandardSECTION Operation

Crankcase gases flow through the small hose into the intake manifold under all conditions except full throttle. At full throttle, the larger hose has a higher vacuum level and pulls gases into the air cleaner for mixing with fresh intake air.

NOTE: Check plastic nipple at air filter and connecting hose for blockage. Clean and replace as necessary. Ensure no loose particles remain in system.
