2006 Pontiac Solstice L4-2.4L VIN BSECTION Service and Repair
Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the front floor closeout panel.
3. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the VSS bolt (1).
5. Remove the VSS (2).
6. Remove the O-ring seal (3) from the VSS (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the O-ring seal (3) to the VSS (2).
2. Install the VSS (2) to the transmission.
3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
Install the VSS bolt (1).
Tighten the bolt to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the VSS electrical connector (2).
5. Install the front floor closeout panel.
6. Lower the vehicle.
