Installation Procedure

Connect the wiring harness (224).

Install the wiring harness to the solenoid valve(s) (315A, 315B, 322, 334 and/or 440), TFP manual valve position switch (395) and/or the temperature sensor (391).
Install the case side cover. Refer to Case Side Cover Replacement .

NOTE: Do NOT overfill the transaxle. The overfilling of the transaxle causes foaming, loss of fluid, shift complaints, and possible damage to the transaxle.

Fill the transaxle to the proper level. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications .
Inspect the transaxle fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure .
Inspect for fluid leaks.

When to See a Mechanic

Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

• You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
• Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
• The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
• You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
• You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
