DTC 43: Body Control Module With SUMCHECK Error: Testing
- If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform diagnostic system check before proceeding. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Enter BCM diagnostic mode by using SECURITY indicator. See RETRIEVING BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Press any button on remote transmitter. If DTC 44 is retrieved, go to next step. If DTC 44 is not retrieved, inspect circuits for an intermittent or poor connection. See TROUBLE SHOOTING .
- Attempt to perform all functions controlled by remote transmitter (door locks, trunk release and alarm). If remote transmitter controls all functions, go to next step. If remote transmitter does not control all functions, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Replace BCM. Program BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under PROGRAMMING.
