Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Dual Spark Plug System
A dual spark plug system allows for more complete combustion. The spark plug switching system is designed to change ignition system firing from 2 spark plugs to one spark plug. The switching from 2 spark plug firings to one takes place during heavy load driving conditions in order to reduce engine noise. Under all other conditions, a 2 spark plug ignition system is in effect.
