- Turn ignition switch to RUN or ACC position. Using shorting pin, temporarily short terminals of RKE DLC together. RKE DLC is located at base of steering column. All doors should lock, then unlock.
- Press any button on transmitter(s). All doors should lock, then unlock to verify transmitter(s) have been programmed. If doors do not respond, press button again (3 times maximum) on same transmitter. If doors still do not respond, go to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS - ECONOLINE article under ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
- Repeat procedure for additional transmitters (4 maximum). Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove shorting pin from RKE DLC. Very remote transmitters have been programmed by depressing LOCK and UNLOCK buttons and ensuring vehicle responds accordingly.
