Advance Components (Capri)
Ignition advance is controlled by a centrifugal advance mechanism within the distributor, and by a vacuum advance mechanism. If centrifugal advance is not within specification, service distributor. Replace vacuum advance unit if vacuum advance is not within specification. See IGNITION TIMINGΒ table. Also see IGNITION TIMING in ADJUSTMENTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
