System Function Test
- With ignition off, check 20-amp STOP and 10-amp METER fuses. Replace blown fuses and turn ignition on. If fuse(s) fail again, go to next step. If fuses do not fail, go to step 3).
- With ignition off, locate and disconnect interior fuse block connectors. Check resistance between Green/Yellow wire and ground, and between Black/Yellow wire and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short circuit in wire(s). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Locate speed control unit and turn ignition on. Measure voltage on Black/Yellow wire at speed control unit. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Black/Yellow wire and recheck voltage.
- Locate stoplight switch and clutch switch (if equipped). Measure voltage at switch(es) on Black/Yellow wire (Green/Yellow wire with automatic transmission). If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Black/Yellow (Green/Yellow) wire and recheck voltage. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
