Stator to Turbine Interference Check
- Position converter, front side down. Install front pump, engaging mating splines of stator support, stator, and pump drive gear lugs.
- Install input shaft, engaging splines with turbine hub. Hold pump stationary, rotate turbine with input shaft.
- Turbine should rotate freely in both directions without interference or noise. If this condition exists, stator front thrust washer may be worn. Replace converter unit.
