Visual Inspection

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Visual Inspection
  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the CMP sensor connector.
  5. Remove the CMP sensor.
  6. Verify that there are no metal shavings on the CMP sensor.
    • If there is a malfunction, replace the CMP sensor.
