TOE ADJUSTMENT

1. Start the engine and center the steering wheel.

2. Turn the engine OFF and, using a suitable holding device, lock the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.

3. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the toe.






1. Remove the steering gear bellows clamps.






1. Loosen the tie-rod end jam nuts.

CAUTION:Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the front wheel spindle tie rod is rotated or damage to the bellows may occur. Rotate the inner tie rods until the toe setting is within specifications.

2. Tighten the tie-rod end jam nuts to 80 N-m (8.2 kgf-m, 59 ft-lbf).

3. Install the steering gear bellows clamps.

4. Recheck the toe settings and adjust as necessary.
