Removal and Installation

2006 Mazda B4000 Base, AutomaticSECTION Removal and Installation
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .

  2. Remove the screws and remove the accelerator control splash shield.

  3. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

  4. Remove the two screws and the TP sensor.
    NOTE:
    • Failure to install the throttle position sensor in this manner may result in excessive idle speeds. Slide the rotary tangs into position over the throttle shaft blade, then rotate the throttle position sensor.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
