Shutter Valve Actuator

1991 Mazda 929 BaseSECTION Shutter Valve Actuator

Remove shutter valve actuator. Connect a vacuum pump to shutter valve actuator. Apply vacuum and verify rod is pulled into actuator. Replace shutter valve actuator if rod fails to retract. With shutter valve actuator removed, ensure shutter valve control arm moves smoothly. See Figure or Figure . Replace if necessary.
