2003 Lincoln Navigator RWDFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

Acceleration Control

The throttle is controlled by an accelerator cable attached to the accelerator pedal. The accelerator pedal should travel smoothly from the idle position to the wide open throttle position. Hesitation or binding should not be experienced at any portion of the accelerator pedal travel. Surrounding components such as wiring, hoses, sound insulator and floor carpet must not contact the sliding inner member of the accelerator cable, or interfere with the accelerator pedal.
