Steering Angle Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Install the steering angle sensor to the spiral cable.
      NOTE:
      • Install the claw securely.
      • Do not damage the claw.

  2. ADJUST CENTER FRONT WHEEL 
  3. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  4. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (for Manual Tilt)  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic)  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL STEERING PAD (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  8. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  9. INSPECT STEERING PAD (See  DISPOSAL  ) 
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

  12. INSPECT ABS WARNING LIGHT AND VSC WARNING LIGHT
