CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (REFERENCE)

NOTE:

When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure the function(s) can be customized.
Be sure to make note of the current settings before customizing.
When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.

Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch ON (IG).
Turn the tester on.
Enter the following menus:
1. Intelligent tester - Select. CUSTOMIZE
2. Techstream - Select. Customize Setting

Select the setting by referring to the table below.

POWER WINDOW:

CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS - POWER WINDOW

UP/DOOR KEY	ON	Function that raises all power windows when, with power switch OFF, key is used to hold driver door key cylinder to lock position for more than 2 3 seconds	ON/OFF
DOWN/DOOR KEY	ON	Function that lowers all power windows when, with power switch OFF, key is used to hold driver door key cylinder to unlock position for more than 2 3 seconds	ON/OFF
DOWN/WIRELESS	ON	Function that lowers all power windows when, with power switch OFF, unlock switch on transmitter is pressed and held for more than 3 0 seconds	ON/OFF
UP/SMART	ON	Function that raises all power windows when, with power switch OFF, entry lock switch on driver side door outer handle is pressed and held for more than 3 0 seconds	ON/OFF

When to See a Mechanic

Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

• You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.

• Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.

• The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.

• You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.

• You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
