Yaw Rate And Acceleration Sensor: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE REAR ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Separate the 2 wire harness clamps.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

    3. Disconnect the yaw rate and acceleration sensor connector.
      NOTE: Do not remove the sensor from the bracket.
