2007 Lexus SC 430FACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

Knock Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL KNOCK SENSOR 
    1. Install the 2 knock sensors with the 2 nuts, as shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 knock sensor connectors.
  2. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Install the intake manifold (see INSTALLATION ).
  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT  ) 
  8. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See  COOLING SYSTEM  ) 
  9. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  ) 
  10. INSTALL V-BANK COVER (See  INSTALLATION  )
