2006 Lexus RX 330 AWDFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

Throttle Body: Removal

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT  ) 
  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a socket hexagon wrench 5, remove the 3 nuts.
    2. Remove the V-bank cover.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET NO. 2 (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE INTAKE AIR RESONATOR 
    1. Remove the ventilation hose No. 2.
    2. Remove the fuel vapor feed hose from the 2 hose clamps.
    3. Loosen the are cleaner hose clamp bolt, and then remove the intake air resonator.

  6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle motor connector.
    2. Disconnect the water by-pass hose No. 2.
    3. Disconnect the water by-pass hose No. 3.

    4. TMC Made
      1. Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the throttle body.

    5. TMMWV Made
      1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and then remove the throttle body.
    6. Remove the gasket from the intake air connector.
