2005 Lexus RX 330 AWDFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

ECM (3MZ-FE): Replacement

  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 2 (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
    2. Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.
    3. Remove the 2 nuts, and then remove the ECM.

    4. Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the wire harness clamp bracket.

  5. REMOVE ECM BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the ECM bracket.

  6. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO. 2 
    1. Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the ECM bracket.

  7. INSTALL ECM BRACKET NO. 2 
  8. INSTALL ECM BRACKET 
  9. INSTALL ECM 

    Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) 

  10. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY 
  11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 2 
  12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
