INSPECTION
HINT: Inspect these items when the engine is cold.
1. REPLACE TIMING BELT
2. INSPECT VALVE CLEARANCE
3. INSPECT DRIVE BELT
4. REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
5. REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT
6. INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS
Visually inspect the pipes, hangers and connections for sevens corrosion, leaks or damage.

7. Canada:
INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER
a. Remove the air cleaner case and air cleaner filter.
b. Visually check that the air cleaner filter is not excessively damaged or oily. If necessary, replace the air cleaner filter.
c. Clean the filter with compressed. First blow from the inside thoroughly, then blow off the outside of the filter.
d. Reinstall the air cleaner filter and air cleaner case.
8. REPLACE AIR CLEANER FILTER
Replace the air cleaner filter with a new one.
9. INSPECT FUEL LINES, CONNECTIONS AND FUEL. VAPOR CONTROL VALVE
Visually inspect the fuel lines for cracks, leakage loose connections, deformation or tank band looseness.
10. INSPECT GASKET IN FUEL TANK CAP
11. REPLACE SPARK PLUGS
12. California, Massachusetts and New York:
INSPECT CHARCOAL CANISTER
HINT: Inspect these items when the engine is cold.
